Por amar una donzea
De muy chica edad
Sufriendo siempre i siempre
En kavo i en kuantidad

Kuando mas yo la amava
Eya me aborresia
Kada vez ke eya me via
Ansi me dizia

Retirate mansevo
No piedras tu tiempo
Ni menos tu mansevez
Fatiga no te dez

BİR TAZEYİ SEVMEK İÇİN

Ta küçük yaştan beri
Acı çektim hep aman
En sonunda anladım
Aşksız geçmiyor zaman

Gördükçe sevdiğimi
Bana hep yüz çevirdi
Peşinden koştukça ben
Sevmiyorum ki, derdi

Geri dön delikanlı
Boşuna beni sevme
Esirge gençliğini
Bana sıkıntı verme

La rosa enflorece (Los Bilbilicos) - Arturo Escorza

A beautiful jewish-spanish (sefardic) song: "Los Bilbilicos" (The nightingales).

Dedicated to all the wonderful Jewish People in the world.

The mexican tenor Arturo Escorza

Traditional Jewish Sephardicsong sung in Ladino by Dragana Jevtovic with Matthew Reid clarinet, Vela Mrdjen cello and Reza Khota guitar. Music in the Gallery - Bellvile, Cape Town South Africa

The lyrics are:

La rosa enflorece en el mez de Mayo,
mi alma s'escurece, sufriendo del amor.

Los bilbilicos cantan sospiran del amor.
Y la pasion me mata, muchigua mi dolor.

Mas presto ven Palomba, mas presto ven a mi
mas presto tu mi alma, que yo me vo morir.

La rosa enflorece en el mez de Mayo,
mi alma s'escurece, sufriendo del amor.

Los Desterrados Sephardic Flamenco

Los Desterrados -- 'The Exiles' -- are a London sextet who have created their own radical, rousing and rootsy take on the ancient folk music of the Sephardic Jews.
As the Gypsy Kings reinvigorated flamenco and the Gotan Project
revitalised tango so Los Desterrados have brought vibrant new life to
Sephardic music. Fusing Spanish Flamenco and the fiery Gypsy melodies
of the Balkans and Greece, with the rhythms of Morocco and Turkey, Los
Desterrados have created a rootsy Mediterranean sound that is wholly
their own.
Featuring traditional instruments such as the cajón and
'oud with vocals in Ladino, the language of the Sephardic Jews, or
Hebrew, the unconventional arrangements and rousing rhythms Los Des
wield are heavily influenced by the music they've all grown up on as
native North Londoners - rock 'n' roll, jazz, folk, flamenco, funk and
soul.

Cuando el Rey Nimrod

Cuando el Rey Nimrod al campo salía
miraba en el cielo y en la estrellería
vido una luz santa en la judería
que había de nacer Abraham Avinu.

Abraham Avinu, Padre querido
Padre bendijo a la luz de Israel.

Luego a las comadres encomendaba
que toda mujer que preñada quedara
si no pariera al punto, la matara
que había de nacer Abraham Avinu.

Abraham Avinu, Padre querido
Padre bendijo a la luz de Israel.

La mujer de Terach quedó preñada
y de día en día le preguntaba
¿De qué tenéis la cara demudada?
ella ya sabía bien qué tenía.

Abraham Avinu, padre querido
Padre bendijo a la luz de Israel.
En fin de nueve meses parir quería
iba caminando por campos y viñas,
a su marido tal ni le descubría
topó una meara, allí lo pariría

Abraham Avinu, Padre querido
Padre bendijo a la luz de Israel.

En aquella hora el nacido hablaba
"Andáos mi madre, de la meara
yo ya topo quién me alejara
mandará del cielo quien me acompañará
porque soy criado del Dios bendito."

Abraham Avinu, Padre querido
Padre bendijo a la luz de Israel

***

When King Nimrod walked through the fields
Looking into the skies, reading into the stars,
He saw the good star shining onto the Jews
They where to give birth to Abraham Avinu...

Abraham Avinu, beloved father,
Blesssed is thy name, light to Israel...

Terachs wife knew she was pregnant
day to day he would ask her
- Why do you have such a full blessed face
She was well aware the good she was given...
